What I do

I work as an extra pair of experienced hands inside your engineering team, or take a firmware deliverable end to end — from schematic to shipped, tested binary.

Selected work

A selection of contract engagements. Descriptions are kept to what the respective agreements allow.

  1. Lund University

    Research instrumentation

    2024 – present

Embedded control software for a high-power, high-precision current generator built for research use. The regulation runs on Texas Instruments microcontrollers, where holding accuracy and stability at high output current is the whole point of the instrument.

    • Texas Instruments MCU
    • Embedded C
    • Digital control
  2. Megger

    Electrical test & measurement

    2023 – present

An ongoing engagement covering several projects across the instrument range, spanning both bare-metal firmware and Yocto Linux development for embedded Linux platforms:

    • Bare-metal C firmware on several MCUs e.g., Xilinx UltraScale+, STM32, ESP32, Texas Instruments
    • Yocto development for an NXP i.MX8 Linux platform
    • Bare-metal C
    • Xilinx UltraScale+
    • STM32
    • Texas Instruments MCU
    • i.MX8
    • Yocto
    • Embedded Linux
  3. Northvolt

    Battery systems

    2022 – 2023

Firmware development for a battery cycler system — the equipment that drives cells through controlled charge and discharge profiles in order to characterise how they behave. Built on STM32 microcontrollers.

    • STM32
    • Embedded C
    • Battery test

About

Teczito AB is a one-person firmware consultancy run by Ruben de Schipper from Vallentuna, outside Stockholm.

I hold an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, majoring in Systems Engineering, and have spent two decades writing embedded software — first in automotive at Hitachi Automotive Systems, Rialtosoft and BRACE Automotive in the Netherlands, then for a decade at Megger Sweden building instruments for electrical test and measurement. Since 2022 I have worked independently through Teczito.

That path means I am as comfortable with a control loop and an oscilloscope as with a build pipeline and a test suite — which in embedded work turns out to be the same job.
